Yosemite Memories
- Bridget calling Yosemite, "Museminy" :-)
- Squirrels in the cafeteria
- Eating overpriced breakfasts in the Curry Village amphitheater while looking at the Royal Arches
- Our dinner at the Mountain Room in Yosemite Lodge on night 1
- Hearing 100 languages and accents
- Getting pushed off a bus at Curry Village because it was too full
- Olivia wiping her boogers on everything!
- Abby and Olivia knitting in the car and Olivia periodically calling out, "Surgery!!" when she needed help from Abby
- Losing the brush, finding the brush, losing the brush...
- Having the girls call varmints, "vomits"
- Taking 170 pictures (most of the back of your head or your hand)
- Eric planning and organizing the trip (thank you!!), laying out our well planned itinerary and sharing rich Yosemite history throughout ourvisit
- Eric's patience and compassion for traveling with 4 females
- Rockslide in Yosemite the night before our trip; getting a call to notify us of moving to a tent cabin
- Going to Pancake Circus before leaving Sacramento
- Bridget whining "Are we there yet?" the entire 2/3 of the way to Yosemite
- Abby and Olivia saying, "No, we're not there yet!"
- Missing the turn to Hwy 120 (we drove past Ripon and into Modesto before turning around)
- Driving the minivan on Old Priest Grade - what power!
- Seeing a bear in Crane Flat on the way to Curry Village
- Going to Bridalveil Falls on the way to Curry Village
- The huge line at Curry Village Check In
- Our tent cabin across from the bathrooms, the bear lockers and the huge (fun) rock
- Night noises around us in the tent: 6 people snoring loudly in various tents, hearing the "whoosh!" of the toilets and "whirr!" of the hand dryers in the bathroom at all hours
- Bridget, Abby, and Olivia climbing on the rock at every free moment
- Getting "varmitized" (vermitized?) several times a day
- Taking the girls to the bathroom during meals... and trying to have an appetite for food upon return
- Big Abby's fever the entire trip!
- Climbing on the rocks up to Lower Yosemite Falls
- $4 apple juice at the Ahwahnee, hanging out there
- Our 5 minute trip to the unheated pool
- Singing songs at the campfire, roasting marshmallows, shaking plastic mariachi veggies
- Our 25 minute wait in the dark for the post campfire shuttle
- Glo sticks hanging from the tent on Night 2 and 3
- Seeing Natalie, Gus and their family
- Meeting Jenna's family
- Little Abby's amazing hiking and climbing ability
- Our 5 hour hike to Vernal Falls!!! (words of encouragement from: a 90 year old, a woman with a neck brace, a man with broken bones, getting dirty, smelling mule poop, big Abby falling 3 times, little Abby going ahead of the group the entire hike, Eric hauling the girls on his shoulders the entire time, the girls' endless amount of energy post hike)
- Olivia getting traumatized by mule poop and saying "That's dis-gust-ing!" over and over on the mule trail
- A 4.6 earthquake on Night 2... and no one in the tent woke up except big Abby
- Abby, Bridget, and Olivia showering in 1 stall, 2 nights in a row; Olivia happily using gobs and gobs of shower gel
- Bridget whining about wanting souvenir pennies
- Bridget and Olivia bickering, apologizing, and hugging all in a span of 30 seconds then incident quickly forgotten
- Bridget saying, "My tummy hurts!" at every meal
- No TV, cell phone, or internet service during our entire visit, and we did not miss it at all
- Watching the temperature climb to 104 as we drove back to Sacramento
- Olivia saying "Can we have a sle

get's?" upon arrival back home
